DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a West Country based building contractor which manages over £20M of new construction, responsive maintenance and planned maintenance contracts on behalf of Providers of Social Housing and Local Authorities.

Working from the company’s office in Yeovil, our client is seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to assist in preparing bids for projects up to £5m in busy office managing projects in Devon, Dorset, Somerset and parts of Wiltshire. Duties include preparing bids and managing the delivery of projects.

Being experienced and with a proven track record you will be highly motivated to achieve the best results.

To be considered you should be able to demonstrate the following attributes, skills, experience, and qualifications:

• Minimum of five year’s Quantity Surveying experience in Residential Developing and Commercial buildings.
• HND (or degree) in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Civil Engineering.
• Proficient in Causeway.
• Obtaining sub-contractor quotations, negotiating and agreeing to final accounts.
• Preparing monthly Client valuations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Numerate.
• Team player.
• Initiative and can solve problems independently.
• Good judgment and decision making.
• Organisation and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Full, clean driving license.
