Abatec are pleased to be working with a widely recognised developer to join their office to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Chertsey on a full time permanent basis. This rare opportunity will allow the candidate to work on a large, multi-phase residential development with units ranging from small apartments to large family homes.
The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive and happy to work both on site and in the office. You will be required to manage multiple projects and be used to working on developments in excess of 150 units. This brilliant opportunity also has great scope for rapid development within the company.
As Quantity Surveyor you will:
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
- Be responsible for procurement and payment of sub-contractors
- Perform risk, value management and cost control
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed financial reports
Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with:
- Qualified at degree level or working towards MRICS or equivalent professional level
- Demonstrable experience in housebuilding and or main contractor developments
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects
- Experienced in working within a team
- A positive, proactive individual that works collaboratively with colleagues and the client team
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident and experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word
Salary: Circa £60,000
